Each Christmas the Friends give a Christmas gift to all the in-patients in our Wards at Christmas time.  We were pleased to do this again in 2025, and it is always a nice surprise for them and well-received.

The Friends also ran an excellent Christmas Raffle this year to raise festive funds.  With some beautiful hampers kindly donated by Marks and Spencer Food in Bognor Regis, and the greatly appreciated support from staff, patients and visitors to the Hospital, we raised a wonderful £940!  This is excellent and will go to directly benefit the Hospital.  Alongside these were our ever-popular knitted festive items sold on the Tea bar, which sold out in one day and raised a wonderful £200.00!  We are incredibly grateful and give thanks to Mrs Knight for all her hard work through the year producing these.

The Christmas lunch hosted by the Friends for our hospital volunteers was held this year at Brick Kiln Garden Centre and was enjoyed by everyone.  In addition, the Friends presented hospital volunteer Dorothy Gray with an engraved vase in recognition of the 10 years service she has given to the Hospital as a volunteer.  Well done and thank you Dorothy!  The Friends and patients at the Hospital are so grateful for the work of the volunteers, who contribute to making it such a friendly and special place.

Dorothy’s vase is pictured below:
