Well weren’t we lucky with the weather!
After a changeable summer the sun came out beautifully for the Bognor Regis Friends of the Hospitals annual Summer Fete on Saturday 26 July 2025!
Local residents, staff, and supporters came out in their hundreds to support the Fete and catch themselves a bargain. We were delighted to have so many hospital departments give their time to run stalls, as well as Friends. Stalls included books, clothes, bric-a-brac, country produce, children’s toys and games, handbags, cakes and sweets, a tombola and a bottle tombola. A face painter was well received, as well as a number of games stalls for the children to enjoy.
The Friends Grand Draw was as popular as ever, with a host of prizes donated by local businesses who kindly support the Friends – we are always so grateful for their generosity. Prizes this year included three monetary prizes, meals at local pubs and restaurants, hampers, goods and services, gifts, and even a 10 minute helicopter ride from Goodwood!
The Friends Tea Bar was open this year and selling an excellent Clotted Cream Tea in a Bag, which went down a treat. We were also joined by Pink’s Ice Cream van who kindly support us each year with their delicious products, and new to the Fete this year was Coles Burger Van providing hot food.
The crowds were treated to a range of entertainment through the afternoon from the excellent local MusicSmart choir, the RAFA Skiffle Band, and the ever popular Suzanne’s School of Dance.
Thank you to all who attended and supported the Summer Fete, it really is very much appreciated. All takings from the Fete go directly to Bognor Hospital to benefit patients and staff.
We are delighted to announce that in 2025 the final total figure was a wonderful £8,484.69p!
