Brian Knight, Chairman of the Friends, was pleased to see the arrival of the Shockwave Therapy equipment at the hospital in early June 2024.
Trevor Holmes, Specialist Podiatrist, hopes that the new machines will provide a valuable and non-invasive treatment for patients experiencing foot and heel pain. As an alternative to invasive surgery, this will be particularly helpful for patients for whom there are additional risks, including elderly and diabetic patients. The Podiatry team also work alongside the MSK team and it is hoped the treatment could also provide wider treatment solutions for other complaints.
With your valued support the Friends are delighted to bring new treatment options to Bognor Hospital, and the £24,990.00 spend in this case also includes in-house training provided by the supplier.
